Food: Breakfast 4/5 There are some breakfast combos and a la carte selection. I would say that the a la carte seemed a little bigger for me in portions, although it was served by different people on different days. Service: 4/5 Friendly service by server. Environment: 4/5 A very spacious place to eat. Many tables and very delicious water filling stations.
The veg burger here beats all the burgers hands down !! The chicken burgers and the tenders are dry compared to the veg burger…a good place to stop eat and then hike at the yosemite…good space and only problem is that it remains shut in the afternoon ….
On Saturday, we were returning from a visit to the park and chose to eat here since there were crowds everywhere, which led us to think it would take a while to exit the park—we didn't want to end up hungry. The restaurant was packed, with long lines, and there was a staff member in charge of managing the crowd. The menu offered plenty of options, and the warm soups were particularly appealing on a chilly evening. Unfortunately, I had to wait a whole hour before my food was ready. By that time, the crowds leaving the park had thinned out, so I wasn’t waiting for a warm meal anymore. The cashier seemed overwhelmed and wasn't particularly friendly, especially when I asked for the order number. However, the woman directing the line was very patient. The chefs and servers were nice too, although no one was smiling. We ordered pepperoni pizzas, but mine was overcooked and tough. I was too tired to complain and wait for a replacement. On Wednesday, the lunch experience was entirely different. There were no lines or crowds, and our food arrived quickly. The cashiers were friendly, and the cooks and servers had smiles on their faces. We decided to take our burgers to-go so we could have a picnic at the El Capitan meadow. Although the burger would have tasted better warm, the incredible view of the meadow made up for it.
The food was quite good and reasonably priced. It was a nice stop after a few days of camping. The menu features a variety of meat substitutes as well. We tried the salmon, chicken, and tofu curry, and all were flavorful and satisfying, served in generous portions. The dining area also has a pleasant atmosphere.
I ordered the Mediterranean bowl that comes with two sides for $17.50. It featured grilled chicken, a tomato salad, and a quinoa mix, all topped with creamy garlic sauce. The portion size was generous, the chicken was flavorful but not overpowering. It was a great value, offering a better portion than the chicken sandwich. The cheesecake was also excellent.
