Mel's Dinor Restaurant - York

The breakfast at this restaurant is of good quality and value, but it gets extremely busy on Saturday mornings, which affects the service. We had to wait for a table, then waited another 20 minutes at the table before getting coffee and menus. It took another 25 minutes for our breakfast to arrive, and it wasn't as hot as we would have liked. Despite this, the food was still good and we were hungry so we ate it anyway. We had to flag down a server for coffee refills, and only received our bill when we asked for it. Overall, we may return because the food was good, but it was stressful having to constantly get the servers' attention for everything. We felt bad for the server who was trying to keep up with everyone's needs.

Good quality and good breakfast, but it is so busy on a Saturday morning, the service suffered. It was still good, and we were hungry, so anyway. Coffee top-up just came when we dropped it for our bill. We go back when food was good, but too stressful to get server attention for every thing. We felt bad because she tried to maintain with everyone's needs.

Mel's Dinor doesn't pretend it's something it's not. Great breakfast and lunch without styling the hair and makeup on. Great to ground food, put back diner, and really friendly service.

There are not many left, but this is certainly a fat spoon. You often go to breakfast. Peameal eggs good portion, eggs all perfectly cooked (no runny protein). Great coffee and they keep your cup filled.

Very reasonable and large portions. Great for hungry guys and men!! My husband often goes there before his work!!
