My friend kindly waited till I got my order before starting eating his lunch. And all the manager did for us is offer free dessert on our next visit, effectively forcing us to come back. From my perspective not dealt with properly and there will not be a next time.
Our waitress was fabulous. Jessica gave us lots of time as she saw that my friend and I were there to have a leisurely lunch. She knew exactly when to check in with us, passing our table to make sure everything was okay. We both had salads. My chicken candy salad was great. I had made some alterations. And it was made exactly as I had requested. My friends chicken in her cobb salad was hard to cut. Jessica, our waitress, offered something else instead AND wanted to give us dessert on the house. We didn 't want dessert but the gesture was really appreciated. Because of how great our waitress was, this will be our 'go to ' spot for when we get together. The prices are reasonable and it has a nice atmosphere.
We started with orders of avocado dip and Mediterranean hummus dip, wine, grilled salmon, steak, and chicken penne. All the food was better than avarage pub quality and tasty.
Met an old friend for lunch here last week. The place filled up for lunch very quickly and was a little bit on the loud side, but not that obtrusive. Our waitress was excellent and offered refills of my cransoda. I had a garlic caesar salad with grilled chicken breast. The salad was excellent... Very garlicky..
I've been to Union Social Eatery several times since I moved to the area. The room and atmosphere have the makings of a quality place. The service can be hit or miss, unless you're a regular; as they seem to go out of their way to make the regulars have great service. On my most recent visit, I was hoping to be in and out in 45 minutes, but my burger took 25 minutes to arrive. I did point it out to my server, and she was kind enough to acknowledge it took a long time and the chef did come out to explain the burgers are made fresh and take a bit longer to cook. That being said, it doesn't indicate that on the menu and that wasn't explained to me when I ordered it. I've also had the burger there before and it didn't take 25 minutes to make. Further, there was a hair in my fries, but I was already done with providing constructive criticism to the kitchen. Sadly there are few casual food options to watch sports in the area, but it will be awhile before I go back to Union.
