The Handsome Cab - York

For the first time visiting with Mt Freund Pat and new friend WANDA had a wonderful time. Chef was so kind and bartender was amazing? I'll be back. Food: 5/5

It was amazing the service was so great. The atmosphere was delightful. The drinks specially the Sangria was very good. The food was great but the crab and avocado toasted left me wanting. I think if they make the crab into a light seviche will give the plate the kick its missing. But overall it's a must do place.Food: 4/5

My wife and I arrived at the Handsome Cab for reservations on a recent Monday. The restaurant was completely empty likely due to the date being the 31st of October. We were seated and served by Corey who was extremely attentive and prompt. We ordered the Handsome Cab 's variant of Bang shrimp and it was the best version we 've ever had. Crisp outer fried shell over a extra large or likely colossal) shrimp. Wonderful. We also had the Cab Bread, a delightfully topped split loaf with a tomato and ?parm spread. Either didn 't last long. My wife enjoyed a new red wine, was standard, no complaints. I started with Moscow Mule and then sipped the Handsome Cab house red wine for dinner. House wine was fantastic and perfect for my taste of darker/bolder reds. My wife had a Cesar salad with shrimp and I ordered the Cab Burger some pink /rarest) with bacon upcharge) and fries upcharge). Skipped the $4 up-charge for cheese. Unfortunate that the burger was overdone. Not a bit of pink on the inside, but with extra char on the outside. Tried to work through it, not pleasurable. Difficult to understand how it was sent out as we were literally the only people in the restaurant aside from the staff. Perhaps overly hot grill too without other food being cooked to cool it down. Did not send back as food waste is a worldly sin. Burger oversight for sure. 4/5 stars. Thanks Corey for making us an easy night on us!

We visited your restaurant for dinner last night. We have been to your restaurant many times in past. As we asked for recommendations, several were made. What surprised us was many of the recs were sold out ! At 615pm? There was no Peruvian chicken sandwich, there were only 3 tacos, no frito misto and no fresh catch. It might help to be told before ordering that certain items are unavailable. Most of the items above are what we wanted and ordered only to be told later that you didn 't have it. We had two people in our party who had food restrictions who really had sub optimal experience. We were disappointed and left dissatisfied. Steve did well as our server and certainly it 's not his fault. Perhaps had he known the lack of components beforehand would have allowed us to seek a different place to dine in. Tried sending this feedback thru email but email bounced back.You can do better than this

Date night out to celebrate our birthdays. Everything about dinner was perfect tonight. Wine excellent! Tempura veggies we shared great start, as well as wedge salad that had Zinfindal vinaigrette (yum . My wife had the scallops and I had the short rib pappardelle which was outstanding. Combined ambiance with pianist playing classic versions of some fav rock (Stairway to Heaven, Mrs. Robinson, Bohemian Rhapsody, Lion King, ... just perfect.
