フィードバックを提供するThe Habachi dinner show was really fun and entertaining the food was decent quality and the sushi was delicious. Because being in the mountains and having a real crazy competition from the resorts, the foods and prices are great. This was our first time, and it felt really friendly and personally also with two other parties at the table.
I was proud and enthusiastic about the service. These young men did not disappoint. Today it is hard to find a good service. Restaurants underoccupied, employees over worked and people are simply rude old flute. Nozawa had the best service I experienced in YEARS! It reminded me of the good old times. Kudos to the staff!
They Add Tip Without Consent! They added tip to our bill even though it’s not stated on the menu except for “parties of 6 or more.” This practice must stop!!! Great food and entertainment by our chef Daniel. When I noticed they added tip, I tried to talk to the Server and Bar Manager… both of whom got rude immediately assuming I don’t want to tip. I explained to them calmly and politely that I work in the restaurant industry and that this practice of adding tip without warning was wrong and bad for business. They reluctantly removed the added tip thinking I was a cheapskate just complaining. To prove my point, I ended up tipping much more so that my feedback would be HEARD. Yes, I tipped more than TWICE what they had initially added as I wanted my feedback to be heard. All I wanted and all I want is for them to stop this practice immediately. The bar manager said people don’t complain. That may be true. The fact is, 9 out of 10 people with a complaint do not complain, they just choose not to come back. The restaurant industry survives on repeat business, not a 1 time customer.
I expect the Vail area to be expensive, but this was not a good value for the dollar. It was average to good sushi, but the role that I paid $22 for had six slices that were about a quarter inch thick. Most of the places I go serve a roll double the size. Be forewarned.
We're regular and Nozawa is our top of mind, but what happened today is unacceptable. First of all, this is not the first time your server add 18% gratuity to a party of 2 and they did it again tonight but 20% gratuity. I was wondering if you have a right to add 18 or 20% gratuity to a party of 2? Since i've been working in this business over a year but i never ever do this before. I totally understand their money depend on tip that's why i always tip more(i believe some of your servers know that too : So please correct me if what i understand is wrong or please explain or give me some more details. PS. Fortunately, i'm a server too and i know they already added tip in our ticket with or without letting us know what if i didn't look at it and let my boyfriend pay the bills who doesn't even know what it is and leave more tips.
