I visited this fantastic old town York real ale and continental ale micro pub on Wednesday 16th March 2022 ****** fantastic place good Handpumped cider and perry and real aleon like going back 100 years plus in time great easy going atmosphere pleasent staff and a nice morzake floor as well Wednesday 10th July 2024 Again, I came to this really great real ale pub in the historical Shambles area of York. This naturally old historical pub in York has 3 gloorels to the pub. This pub today was well staffed, and the ample amount of real ales on were all well kept in tip top order The punk styled background music was right up my street. This is pub real ale drinkers when in York must come to for a pint

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good range of beers—not the best but there you go. Nice scotch. But I think it’s all about the cost downstairs

I can say wow I was very impressed with the place I felt as if I had moved in time......

Excellent range of European beers great location in the shambles totally recommend A must stop for beer connoisseurs will be stopping in again on our next trip
