Sobol - Yonkers

Acai bowls have become quite popular lately, but I had no idea what they were until now. I entered a spotlessly clean SoBol and was warmly greeted by the woman behind the counter, who gave me a helpful lesson on acai bowls. I opted for a kid's size just in case I didn't enjoy it... but I loved it! Acai berries are native to the Amazon Rainforest, and they have an interesting nutritional profile for a fruit, being relatively high in fat and low in sugar. Acai is packed with nutrients and antioxidants. My bowl featured blended acai and soy milk, topped with sliced strawberries, bananas, homemade granola, blueberries, a sprinkle of coconut, and a drizzle of honey. It was absolutely delicious! Next time, I might even try a pitaya bowl!

This is a fantastic spot for acai bowls and smoothies! The place is clean, and the service is friendly. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating for customers.

I absolutely love this place! The food is healthy, and while it might be a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it, especially because of the wonderful staff. Michelle and Andrew, in particular, stand out for their exceptional service. They made me feel incredibly welcomed, which is especially meaningful for me as I struggle with social anxiety. I truly appreciated how accommodating they were. Life is beautiful!

Vegetarian options are available, including dairy-free smoothies, making it a kid-friendly spot too. As for parking, there's a spacious lot right in front of the restaurant where you can easily find a spot.

I've been a regular at Sobol Yonkers for years, always choosing it over the New Rochelle location because they typically offer generous portions, ensuring the bowls are completely filled. However, I ordered through the Sobol app today and was quite disappointed. The bowl wasn't even close to being full. For over $10, I usually receive and expect more. It's disappointing not to receive the same quality as when I order or pick up in-store. The bowls are still delicious, but they didn't meet my expectations this time.
