The Manor - Yeovil

Overnight we stayed here as it worked near yetminster. the hotel was really easy to find, many parking places, close to the center and full history (ps if they do not have to pay them for parking, so they do not make the mistake that I did the staff of the restaurant were really friendly, professional and attentive so high praise. eating was reasonable. I had garlic mushrooms for appetizers and then a goat cheese tea, with a wine for £24 delish, which was reasonable. there was actually a Valentine's Day event when I stayed there and the restaurant was fully booked, but to the luck I managed to get a table in front of the hand! I stayed in a single room that was comfortable and clean, even a little dated. unfortunately the hotel was quite loud. you could hear everything from people who walk down the flur, close and open the doors, the noise from the restaurant and from the bar (probably not helped by the valentine event, but I guess you have to be careful as it is an old building, but could possibly do with something sound protection? or make sure they book a room that wasn't above the restaurant/bar or main staircase as mine was. also my toilet was constantly driping in the night that was frustrating, but all reported the next morning and the staff was very apologetic. I followed my stay with a vegetarian breakfast the next morning. it was not disappointed and was the perfect start for the day. overall a good stay, a very interesting building full of history, that was interesting reading on 1 o'clock. the staff was very pleasant and the food was really nice! I'd stop again if I just think about where my room was in the future.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience during my stay with the team here. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, even with fewer staff due to the current global situation. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and we received outstanding service both at the bar and in the restaurant. A huge thank you from me, and I genuinely recommend staying with the Manor team.

I just wanted to share that we had a lovely family dinner here today. Our bratwurst was delicious, and our son finished all his meal, which is quite unusual for him. The service from the staff was excellent. The pudding looked beautiful, but it was just too crowded to really enjoy it. I also loved that we could dine in the winter garden in such a relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and the berry gin was fantastic! Thank you very much. We will definitely be back soon!

We visit this restaurant once a week and are always impressed by the friendly service and delicious food. We rarely have to wait long for our meals. Overall, it’s a lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere.
