Royal Farms - Wrightsville

This is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! It’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—perfectly cooked! However, I feel like the store itself doesn’t offer much variety in terms of snacks and drinks. On the bright side, there is definitely a good selection of alcoholic beverages.

Because their pump was malfunctioning, I ended up paying for nothing. Fortunately, the manager personally gave me $5 from his own wallet since Royal Farms wouldn’t take responsibility. I refused to accept his personal money; it highlighted the failures of the business itself. I used to be a regular customer, but this experience has made me reconsider. I won’t be returning to Royal Farms, and I will be finding my new go-to gas station at Rutter's.

Every time I order chicken here, I promise myself it will be the last, and tonight is definitely my final time. I got a thigh and a leg, both of which were incredibly pink, wet, soft, and rubbery—completely inedible. I was really disappointed because I was hungry, so I ended up loading up on the Texas fries to fill me up. I hate to be so negative. The people sitting next to me ordered chicken sandwiches and requested extra pickles, but they only received one small pickle and a tiny slice of tomato. I didn’t feel like complaining because the staff was friendly, and it wasn’t their fault. Even if they had offered a replacement, it probably wouldn’t have been any better. Oh well.
