Moon Dancer Vineyards Winery

Moon Dancer is a beautiful location with stunning views. We received a warm welcome upon our arrival, and the food options were appealing. However, two members of our group were unable to find a beer they liked, so we decided to leave without placing an order. We plan to give it another try when the beer enthusiasts are not with us!

The location is stunning, perched on a hill with a lovely view of the Susquehanna River, complete with a nice patio. They have live music every weekend; when I visited, a solo guitarist was performing, and he was excellent. The wines lean towards the sweeter side, featuring flavors like raspberry, watermelon, and mango. I also tried the Merlot, which was decent. I’m uncertain about the prior criticisms regarding the service, as my experience was perfectly fine. While I typically prefer dry wines, I think this place is fantastic for an outing, a special event, or a date.

The ambiance and atmosphere are the standout features of this restaurant. Guests can enjoy spacious surroundings and a wonderful view from the hilltop. The wine selection leans towards sweeter, fruit-forward options, perfect for warm days. While it may not be extraordinary, it’s enjoyable for a leisurely afternoon. The flatbreads are quite tasty, although the service could use some improvement.

We came in for wine and snack and we're very disappointed with the service . They didn't have two of their wines that were listed and were not at all helpful in getting us something we would like instead . They acted like having customers was a huge inconvenience. I had never seen anyone move so slow in my life too. We had to write down the wines that we wanted for her while we were standing at the counter right in front of her, not even circle options off a list. Normally this kind of **** service I can justify by saying they were busy but they were pretty much empty and had so many people working, or just standing around talking. Also they don't turn the ovens on before 5 but they don't have that information out there, so we couldn't get anything. To eat. We asked about their charcuterie board since you don't need an oven for that and they said they didn't have somethign needed .... We later overheard them talking it it was just grapes or something dumb that we could have easily just not had. Overall it was such a **** experience, the building has potential bc the view is awesome when they don't have their $200/ evening igloos up blocking it and the building would be nice with better lighting decor and paint. I'm looking forward to the day that these people run their business into the ground and someone with a little sense takes over! The wines were pretty good if you like sweet fruity wines , honestly I'd have loved to buy a couple bottles but it was such a **** experience I didn't want to give them any more money.

Good Pizza! Wine slushies taste great as well as the wines. Great views and scenery!! Will definitely be back!!
