フィードバックを提供するIt's been years since I've been at the Whitney house because I had a not great brunch experience here. I'm gluten intolerant and vegetarian, which I know is a tough combo but after my experience, I gave up on then. Last week my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I gave it a second chance. Warmly greeted by the hostess maybe manager who gave us pick of seats- the front fancier dining room or the back room which feels more like an English pub. We choose the back, loved the ambiance there (the front is really too). First off- drinks. The cocktail I ordered was OUTSTANDING. A kilt in a corner. My bf thought it was so good he was jealous and ordered one later. By suggestion of the hostess manager who was walking around greeting people and delivering food, we ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were a huge serving and nice and crunchy. I ordered the six bean and wild mushroom bowl. It was filling and tasty, maybe a little on the sweet side. I was glad to see several options for me and this was a good choice, different from what you see other places. He got the short rib sliders, and really enjoyed them. It was a nice meal, and we'll definitely be back.
Whitney house accommodated my party of 9 when another restaurant had their elevator break down last minute on the day of my wedding/elopement. There was no way we could use the other restaurant without an elevator.. The service here was AMAZING, they provided champagne for my wife and I to toast our new marriage and the server was attentive. The chef even sent out applesauce for my baby nephew and I thought that was so sweet thoughtful!! Everything ended up working out thanks to them! Their food was actually very good too. I had them saved to my list of places to try, since I live in the worthington/westerville area and I will definitely be back. Thank you for being there accommodating for my special day!!
Went to The Whitney House on a Friday night with a large party of 11 and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy, like an upscale tavern, and the service was excellent. We tried several appetizers including the Buffalo Burrata, the Skillet Corn Bread, the Truffle Fontina Cheese Pierogies with Braised Short Rib, and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. All were really tasty, but the pierogies and the brussel sprouts were the crowd favorites. For dinner, we tried the Tavern Stack Burger and Seasonal House Salad. The kitchen split the plate which was a nice touch. There was also a great cocktail menu and wine list to make for a lovely evening with friends. Highly recommend!
I had brunch and dinner here and it's definitely a top notch spot to dine in Columbus! It's great for a date night. From dinner I cannot decide what was better: chicken, trout or service. The sauce paired with this chicken made the perfect sweet/salted contrast, and both proteins were perfectly boiled. The crab cakes are also very recommended phenomenal I 'd. I'm pretty sure I ate my first grilled cheese as an adult here (and it was called according to the adult grilled cheese). It was better than anyone I ever grew up; Once again, it had a subtle sweetness from a jam that made for an excellent taste contrast. Even though I never tried, they have boozy Müsli on their brunch menu (let this sink!! I'd be excited to try almost everything out of their menu, so Whitney House is better used to seeing my face!
An absolutely stunning and delicious time here at The Whitney House. Our friends invited us up from Dayton and this was hands down the best selection. The food was on point. The service was amazing with our server being hilarious throughout it all. Did I mentioned the environment itself was so comfy. Highly encourage you to try and make sure you get dessert!
