All of our food was delicious. I got the chicken fajita quesadilla and it was wonderful. The portions are huge. We were very pleased and happy we decided on here for dinner.
This was the first time I'd ever visited a Mexican restaurant where they give complimentary bean dip with the chips as well as salsa. It was very tasty to boot. We weren't starving so we got the appetizer sampler to split and we only ate about 3/4 of it before we were stuffed. So in other words, it was huge. I don't think the picture does it justice. The beer was nice and cold too. The waitress made us wait for longer than I would've liked after we got served though. It took a while for her to check on us and then for the bill at the end. Despite that, I would still visit here again next time I'm in Columbus.
I was not impressed. I did not enjoy the house-made tortillas and though I ordered the shrimp/steak/chicken fajitas, it was 70% onions and peppers. The taste was ok but certainly not authentic Mexican. The rice was ok but virtually flavorless. I feel like Goya rice is better than this. You get a lot of rice and tiny sides of lettuce, salsa, guacamole and cheese. Overall, I'm not impressed. We also ordered chips with cheese and the portion was so small, I couldn't believe it. I likely will not return.
4.5 stars The aesthetics of this place captured my attention the moment we walked through the door. Wow. Exceptionally intricate tile work surrounds a wealth of impressive eye-catching decor, as authentic as it is beautiful, and covers every inch of the restaurant in rich, vibrant colors. I came in with a group of friends, after having spent all day climbing. We were famished and it was on the way back home, so we thought why not? The food, as it turns out, is as spectacular as the walls that surround it. We were seated right away and given fresh tortilla chips and salsa, along with an interesting bean and slaw dip. All which our waiter kindly refilled not once, but three times for us! The menu itself is quite extensive and a tad-bit overwhelming, but it does include both authentic Mexican dishes and Tex-Mex. We went for the Tex-Mex side of things and shared a couple pitchers of margaritas, the sampler platter, chicken fajitas and the cheese quesadilla. Flour tortillas, please. Holy-guacamole.. It was pretty epic. All of it. Everything tasted incredibly delicious and gave way to a Man vs. Food kind of moment. Even with all five of us having stuffed our faces, we failed to defeat the three monstrous plates of food set before us. We waddled out of there like five overgrown Oompa Loompas. We regret nothing. I 've been back several times since my first encounter and I 've found that dinner is consistently in par with my first experience; lunch, not so much. It tends to sway either way. Regardless still, it 's always pretty darn good. So GO! Go hungry. Go for lunch and take your besties or go for dinner and take bae. Your welcome.
Came here on a recommendation of a coworker. She's Mexican and said the food was great. Dining on Nuevo Acapulco for years, I'm very skeptical there can be better. This place may be it. Sat down to a basket of chips and a small salsa. Chips were good, but not great. Salsa was good, and close to great. Nice zing but a bit watery. Opened with a Cadillac Margarita the size of my head! Not sure what it's going to set me back, but very very tasty. Ordered the queso fundido with chorizo as an app, along with our dinner, Casa Hascienda for 2. It all came out at the same time. Cheese dip was good, but the entree was great! Carne Asasa, chillie rejeno, chunks of beef in a mole sauce. Side of tortillas was the best we ever had. Overall, service was a bit poor, but friendly. Food, however, was excellent all the way!
