フィードバックを提供するOnly one review for the best DQ in the burbs!?!?! This is crazy talk! I have worked less than two minutes away from this location for almost eleven years. They are closed over the winter months, but I am okay with that because it just makes me appreciate them more. If memory serves me correctly, this was a cash only establishment for many years. I am pleased to report that they take my debit card without question for any amount. My Blizzard Habit thanks you, DQ! Speaking of which, let me tell you about a favorite or two. Currently, there is a Nutter Butter Blizzard available. I tried this earlier this month and it is certainly worth mentioning. Vanilla soft serve mixed with Nutter Butter cookies and some peanut butter sauce. YUM! I thought it would be boring, but I was wrong. It is very, very tasty. I might even considering calling the flavors in depth . Next on my list of favorites is an Oreo Earthquake sundae (I don 't think I have the name quite right, but I hope you 'll forgive me). It 's vanilla soft serve, a brownie, Oreo cookie pieces, marshmallow topping and whipped cream. I would consider sharing this taste treat. Finally, there is a Buster Bar. I pick up a box of these every so often to share with my co-workers. They are really good! Vanilla ice cream on a stick with fudge, caramel and Spanish peanuts. Go visit the friendly staff on Devon Avenue! You 'll figure out who the owner is pretty easily. He 's the pleasant guy, cracking jokes and making this DQ seem like a nice place to work.
Posted hours for Friday night say open until 10. We were literally just walking up at 9:32 on the dot and experienced an employee who made eye contact with us as we approached, flipped the sign to CLOSED, and locked the door as we stared open-mouthed and even other customers inside the store looked at her like WTF. Never again! We'll hit up the Roselle or Addison locations.
We came to this location 40 minutes from our house to have a enjoyable treat after a long days work. I got here at 9:10pm and the 2 young boys working decided to close early right when we walked up to the door. They gave us a thumbs down and started laughing. I rate this 1 star because i cannot rate it 0. I overall had a very bad experience at this dairy queen. Therefor i will NEVER come back and urge you not to either!
This is a classic Dairy Queen that brings back memories of the one I frequented while growing up in Wilmette. The staff is made up of enthusiastic local kids who really excel at their jobs. The experienced team members provide excellent support to the newcomers, creating a fantastic atmosphere. I do wish they were open year-round, but that only enhances the enjoyment of summer! They are quite accommodating when it comes to customizing orders—my pregnant wife appreciated being able to add her own touches to each meal, and they were more than happy to oblige. It would be perfect if they had a few more outdoor seating options. Overall, what a wonderful local business!
I'm not sure what has happened to this Dairy Queen since it changed ownership, but the quality has really declined. The staff seem poorly trained and often don't know how to make the Blizzards correctly. They frequently forget ingredients or skimp on the fillings and syrup. It's so disappointing that I prefer to drive past this Dairy Queen to visit the one in Wood Dale instead.
