Coffee#1 Woodley - Wokingham

The staff at this restaurant are lovely and they offer a great selection of snacks, cakes, and coffees, including vegan options. The only downside is that the toilets could use a deep cleaning as they are in pretty poor condition. However, the atmosphere is excellent and the staff are hardworking. Overall, it's a great place to visit.

I have been here many times before and have had great service and have often been for tea and cake, but on the last two visits i have been disappointed to be told that the cakes on display are all frozen and unavailable to purchase. Surely they should not be defrosting on display where everyone queues up and chooses their cakes only to be told when they order one that none are available. I was very disappointed and decided to go next door to Costa Coffee instead. It’s a shame because the cakes I have eaten here in the past are delicious, but will be wary of coming here again.

Staff got rude and discriminated me for using the disabled toilet when I have a disability and also tryed to get rude on the phone when I called and asked for an apology

I was disappointed to find out that the restaurant no longer serves their delicious filter coffee. Instead, I ordered a black americano with a splash of cold water on top to prevent burning my mouth. Unfortunately, I still burned my mouth as the coffee was extremely hot.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday morning (25/6/22) for breakfast. There was only one lady serving, and I overheard her using swear words while talking to a customer. She was complaining about the lack of staff working at that time, mentioning that the manager usually has more staff on shift. The lady also described the place as not being well-maintained. When asked if she was the only one working, she replied that there was another staff member present, but just watching her. At 8:55, a young girl put on her apron and went behind the counter. The other lady immediately walked out, saying she was taking a cigarette break, leaving the young girl to handle the customers in the queue. I also noticed that there was a lot of water on the floor, especially behind the counter, as well as wet food prints left by the staff. I enjoy the food and drinks at this restaurant and have visited it every time I am in Woodley. However, the rudeness of the lady working there is unnecessary.
