Jaipur Indian High Street Woking

I hadn't dined at this restaurant in many years since I had moved away from the area, but I recently went for dinner with friends and it was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, as it was probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in a long time.

I have been going to this restaurant for around 12 years and have always rated it. The food was good and the wine excellent. Alas my last visit was awful. From having a great selection of wines including a rather splendid Californian Zinfandel, their menu now has a listing saying merlot, malbec, etc. No details of the make or even country of origin. I tried to politely say to them that maybe they should reconsider this policy as no restaurant of any worth would do this. They just started arguing with me and acted if I didn't know anything about wine. Very sad. Can't see myself going there again.

It's been a while since I visited this restaurant due to COVID, but it has consistently been the best Indian spot in the area for a long time. I'm happy to report that nothing has changed - it's still the best around.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We ordered our mains whilst eating our popadoms and they arrived 5 minutes later, as our plates were being cleared. While I understand it takes a long time to bring out the full depth of flavour in a curry dish, there is no excuse for serving up old and dry chicken (resembling old rope). The flavours were ok but everything was reheated, even the bhajis. The service was functional at best. I have given this 2 stars purely because the flavours were as you would expect.
