フィードバックを提供するCoffee was solid; well extracted single origin espresso though it was a bit pricey. I spilled my shot on the counter (completely my fault) and they pulled another for me; they were extremely nice and understanding. The atmosphere was nice with a lot of places to sit and chat or work.
Blue Bottle from my experience is not bad at all, but I am basing this review solely on my experience here. I ordered the hojicha latte here and I either didn't hear my name get called or they didn't call it. I was the only person standing around waiting in front of them for several minutes before I asked if my drink was ready and they told me it had been sitting there waiting. It was the weakest hojicha latte I've ever tried and it tasted almost like just drinking pure milk. I did appreciate the latte art though. I also tried their single origin dark chocolate, which was $2 for 0.42oz. It was quite expensive for a tiny piece and I didn't particularly enjoy it either as it didn't stand out to me in any way from most other dark chocolate. It may not be the norm here since other locations have been great, but my review is based on the customer service I received and the quality of the drink I tried here.
There are stairs to enter blue bottle coffee. It was only slightly difficult to find given construction nearby. There are a few tables for sitting with a mix of people trying to work and enjoying weekend coffee. I liked the latte with whole milk a lot. Blue Bottle Coffee might be the most expensive coffee shop near Harvard Square but I’d definitely recommend it for an occasional treat or for coming with another friend.
Decided to stop by this morning to grab a iced match latte with oat milk. Delicious drink, also love that they use paper straws and cups. The cafe is really nice (with minimalist decor) and well-lit. There is a decent amount of seating and good wifi, so it's a great place to study. It's not too crowded or busy on a Friday morning, would recommend checking out!
Coffee great, service too, but working hours? Closing at 5pm and then without warning closing on Friday at 2pm? This is not the first time we have walked for half an hour to face a locked door. What's the point of having a coffee shop in the middle of Harvard Square and closing randomly at 2pm!? Also single person occupying a table for hours on a laptop. Perhaps there should be a policy limiting laptop use? This is not a work place. Library is better.
