フィードバックを提供するUpon arrival at 2pm our room was already clean and available. We comfortably got to the room based on the directions provided by the staff. The room was very nice and clean with an easy adjustable temperature control. The balcony was nice for morning coffee and fresh air. Bathroom was very cleanIt was a bit of a walk to get to the water parks that were available. The staff at the rides and food stations were very kind with only 1 meh experience to speak of.In this regard HUGE shout out Kim S area supervisor of Northern Lights Arcade and indoor activity area on 9/10/23. This wonderful woman took the time to show my son's how safe the Northern Lights Sky Ropes Course is.In terms of water parks there was just enough indoors to keep us busy the whole time. though crowded at times but that's to be expected. Also one very positive worker on the slides made one confusing situation very fun instead. Can't say anything about the other activities that weren't tried of which there are lots of. The indoor go-karts were great, the 9 hole putt putt was good, and the laser tag was plenty fun. Beware the ramps on your ankles if you're moving faster than you should.
Every year for the past 10+ years we have come to the dells. We switch between location of the 3 large indoor water parks on the main strip(Wilderness, Great Wolf, Kalahari). We stay in one of the cabins and have a fun family adventures. Each year we look forward to a few key pieces to the trip and each year it turns out to be less and less about the waterparks. We were excited about the new Wild West water park, which had been newly renovated since last year. It is one of the few parks that had children(<4 yrs) water features in functioning condition. It closed at 7pm on a Saturday. Both the Klondike Cavern and the Wild Water Dome have water features that are permanently shut off. Leaving knobs that are perfect head height for Littles ready to smack heads. Or large soft water features that look like bugs in the water dome. Leaving people wondering what to do with them. You can't climb on them unless you like slipping, and they have zero water spouts that are functional. There are two misting arches that haven't been running in the past several years. People are left with the floor geysers that you get yelled for stepping on or one functional slide and another that loos like it was frankensteined to be OSHA compliant.I am glad they invested money to renovate the parks, but their equipment always seems to be malfunctioning.Rooms: We spend a good chunk of time in the cabins. The cabins look like they have seen too many frat parties. However, the maintenance crew was extremely attentive and helpful to get fixes in place. We shared a cabin with 18 people. The hotel only provides a status quo of towels. The cabin had one extra blanket for the cold nights. We always found ourselves scrambling for wash cloths and towels. The water was always cold unless you were the first to take a shower. The entertainment room that is marketed requires a minor in rocket science to get it to function. The cabins we reserved were quite a ways away from the water parks. Love the shuttle option. It sucks driving between parks in the winter.Nearby activities: The restaurants are decent and all deliver. Knuckleheads is way better than the arcade they have on the premises and honestly easier to access.Walkability: If you stay in a cabin it becomes less likely to want to walk. The parking is ridiculous and some of the parks are difficult to get to without walking a distance or corridor of hotel rooms.Noteworthy details: The staff was nice. Having one of the parks close at 7 on a Saturday is silly. The wristbands that are elastic are really a great idea...just not real people sizes. I had to constantly take it off because it was too tight. My 3 yr Olds kept falling off.
If you’re coming to the Dells, you have to stay here. The convenience of having anything and everything in one area is beyond amazing. The rooms are clean and updated, the food is wonderful and there is a shuttle to take you anywhere on the grounds! The waterpark are great!Walkability: Everything is within walking distance and is connected via skyways. If you don’t want to walk, there’s a shuttle service that will bring you anywhere you want to go on the grounds!
We go there every year and rent a resort at the Wilderness Resort there. Had a great time with the kids and the service is phenomenon. I lost my wallet there during my stay and was able to retrieve it with full cash in it. Thank you cleaning crew for making my life easy. 5 stars and will definitely come back next year. Could've been better if there's a high speed internet but had a great time there. Thanks!
The water parks are great, and the property is very nice once you understand the layout. For food I understand paying a 10 15% resort markup compared to average pricing, but the 30 40% on most items is tough to stomach. I recommend fewer food options and better quality rather than the opposite, especially for the price. Kids loved it here, and we will be back.Rooms: Nice layout and good spacingWalkability: We enjoyed the property views and didn't mind most of the walking between areas.Food drinks: Over $70 breakfast buffet for 2 adults and 2 kids under 10 ridiculous!
