Everyone was incredibly kind. The restaurant itself was clean and beautifully decorated. Our dinner was delicious, and the haddock chowder was outstanding! We truly appreciate this beloved spot in our community. Five stars!
As someone who was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, adapting to a gluten-free diet has been quite challenging. When I discovered that Sea Basket offers gluten-free breading and has a dedicated gluten-free fryer, I was absolutely thrilled! Their gluten-free coating is made from rice, garbanzo, and corn—just make sure to double-check when you visit! The onion rings were incredibly delicious, and the scallops were fantastic as well. In fact, everything I tried was great, but those two dishes were definitely my favorites!
I don't often get the chance to enjoy fried seafood due to my gluten-free diet, so I was thrilled to find that everything fried could be made gluten-free. The mixed seafood basket was fantastic! All the seafood was cooked perfectly. However, it did come with crinkle cut fries, which I'm not a big fan of. The onion rings were tasty as well, though they were a bit greasy and messy. The staff was super friendly! I definitely recommend giving this place a try!
We tried the mixed seafood plate on our first visit, and it was delicious! The scallops were slightly overcooked, but everything was very fresh and made to order.
I had high hopes for Sea Basket, but unfortunately, I found the cleanliness lacking. The bread was more doughy than crispy. The onion rings were thin and had a bland flavor reminiscent of plain bread. The fries tasted like something I could easily prepare at home in the oven. On a positive note, the chicken was genuinely moist on the inside and not overcooked.
