Brewers Fayre Burleydam - WIRRAL

We went to the restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday with a party of 6. It was the worst experience we've ever had. We arrived around 6pm and were still waiting for our starters at 7:10pm. They got the starters wrong, so they had to remake 4 of them because the first choice was not available. Three of them had cheese on them, so we sent them back because one of our party members has a dairy allergy and they did not ask about allergies when she arrived. When the starters eventually arrived at 7:10pm (over an hour since sitting down), they looked like they had just been waved over the grill. My wife, who ordered soup at 6:15pm, still had not received it by 7:10pm. The curry my daughter ordered was watery like the soup my wife should have received. When the mains arrived, we had to ask for items that should have come with them. My mixed grill had 2 eggs on it that could have been used as a frisbee. The manager asked if I wanted a discount, but I declined as all I wanted was to leave and had to take my kids to McDonald's to get some food. There were so many kids running around, it felt more like a playground and the staff did nothing to stop it. We go to a restaurant to eat and have good conversation, but this experience was a waste of time and spoiled my wife's birthday meal. I only gave one star because I had to, otherwise, I would have given none.

It's always a pleasant sight to be greeted by a friendly bartender like Dan, who provided quick and efficient service. The double Dead Man's Finger and Coke, along with a pint of Moretti, were reasonably priced. Well done!

The food at this restaurant was consistent, but the service varied each day. Some days you could order your breakfast at the table, while others you had to help yourself. This made it difficult to know how much time to allow for dining. Sometimes you had to order food at the bar, and other times at one of the two stations. There were no call buttons or other ways to get staff attention, so you were left to your own devices until someone noticed you.

This is our local pub always have a cocktail ste always does an amazing pornstar martini..lovely atmosphere and great staff very welcoming and cant do enough for you!
