フィードバックを提供するWe started our evening at Boca, enjoying a light and refreshing melon cocktail made with local ingredients and a touch of sweetness. While many can craft a cocktail, it's the quality of ingredients and the care put into the drink that truly makes it memorable. After our post-work drinks, we ventured around the corner to ABO, a charming oyster bar nestled in a whimsical courtyard garden in Winter Park, away from the hustle and bustle of Park Avenue. With its reclaimed wood decor and unique beer offerings, ABO transports you to a fisherman's paradise—stylish yet pleasantly unobtrusive. At ABO, we indulged in oysters accompanied by a special hot sauce. Though I didn’t have the nerve to try these coastal treats myself, based on my companions' delighted reactions, I would highly recommend ABO to any oyster aficionado. For the main event, we returned to Boca for a four-course tasting menu crafted by Chef Brenchley. From Arctic Char to wild boar, the menu showcased an extraordinary farm-to-fork experience that was truly one-of-a-kind. Here’s a glimpse of what we savored at Boca: - **Ricotta Gnudi**: This delightful dish featured English peas, bacon jam, a soft seven-minute egg, breakfast radish, and Meyer lemon, all sourced from Lake Meadows and Long and Scott Farms. It was a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth pasta-like creation infused with rich flavors that delighted all our senses. - **Arctic Char**: This cold-water fish, milder and sweeter than its better-known relatives, was paired exquisitely with carrots dashi, mirin-glazed beets, peas, carrots, and dill blossoms, utilizing various ingredients from Frog Song Organic Farm. In summary, our dining experience at Boca was not just a meal; it was a culinary journey that engaged our taste buds and showcased the bounty of local farms.
Absolutely fantastic! This hidden gem packs a big punch. Tucked away in a charming alley, my husband and I were instantly drawn in. The decor has a stylish restoration hardware vibe, creating a cozy atmosphere. The oysters were straightforward yet delicious, enhanced by a homemade hot sauce and fresh horseradish. My shrimp dish was excellent—richly buttery with just the right amount of spice, striking a perfect balance without going overboard; it was a truly sophisticated flavor. They also offer great wine and beer selections. Overall, the food was outstanding. This place is definitely a must-visit!
Huge oysters! It was our first visit, and we had a fantastic time with friends. ABO offers an impressive selection of beers, and the oysters were incredibly fresh. There were 13 or 14 TVs displaying all the exciting games, and they gladly switched one to the match we wanted to watch. I highly recommend checking out this spot!
