Gilson Cafe Cinema - WINSTED

I love this cute little theater! Food was delish and the service was great! Prices are really decent too! I recommend everyone go watch a movie and have dinner here!

First time here and had a great time. I enjoyed the whole experience more than the movie.

What a fantastic evening! We had a great time watching a movie while enjoying a delicious meal before and during the show. It was a delightful and unique experience!

The menu feels outdated, although they do offer specials that they tend to repeat often. One major area that needs improvement is the bread for their sandwiches. It seems like they leave the rolls out to dry for a few days before using them. This could be a result of our visits on Fridays when they might be using leftover bread from the previous weekend. It certainly feels that way. I hope the management takes notice and makes changes to the seating and the rolls because we are willing to return. I really wish they would start with the rolls; I’m tired of dry sandwiches made with stale buns that leave crumbs everywhere. On a positive note, my wife ordered a sandwich on a croissant, and it was fantastic.

I brought my wife here for a date night, and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, the service was excellent, and the theater has a unique charm. I highly recommend visiting if you haven't been here before!
