Lee's On DeVries - Winnipeg

Open for dinner only on Friday. There are about half a dozen items on the menu. All selections include a wine, beer or pop. I had the ½ rack of back ribs, my partner had shrimp. Both were excellent. Staff are prompt and very friendly.

The burger paddy was done on an open flame flame and then what appears to be put into a warming devise of some type until it's called for. It is then assembled open faced and served. The paddy was basically, dry cold and touigh, nowhere near the required 140 degrees mandated in Canada. On a one to ten scale it rates a zero!

We went at lunch. It is at the back of the Canadian Legue. You donot have to be a CL member to eat here. The reuben sandwich had lots of corn beef.

Friends had heard good things about Lee’s on DeVries and they had high ratings on the reviews so we decided to meet them on a Friday and give them a try. We found prices high, portions small, and our steaks over cooked and dry. I went home and raided the fridge to curb my hunger. Looking around at the different plates at other tables there didn’t seem to be consistency in portion sizes. With all the high ratings maybe I had high expectations but my rating is based on my comparison of my dining experience to the many other restaurants I have dined at.

Fresh ham cut off the bone and fried, so good. this is my go to for Ham and Eggs. I have never tried much else because the Ham, is so good
