Kai Sushi - Winnipeg

Food is great! Bathroom was filthy. Too many plants in seating area. Hard to walk

I like the food at Kai sushi. However, the service has drastically declined over my last few visits (often months apart). The restaurant is often empty, with a bunch of potted plants creating a U from the door to the counter to the tables...Pick a window seat? Enjoy walking past the other tables, all the way around the restaurant to serve yourself your own water from red solo cups. Owners no longer come to take your order, you need to sit at your table, write it down, then still explain what you ordered to them. Then they ask for tips?The foods great but their shifting focus to take-out tells me I won't be eating in there again.

Great place and the sushi is really good. The place is clean and quiet. The staff very friendly. If you wish to go to a small sushi place and enjoy a quiet meal I would say go there. Sushi was delicious! Would definitely recommend this place to others and will be back forsure.There was a kind of self serve table for drinks and cutlery which was a little odd but other than that it was a lovely place!

I LOVE the sushi here. Their sushi pizza is to die for. I absolutely needed it when I was pregnant and they were kind enough to make it with crab instead of salmon.BUT I cannot tell you how many times I’ve wanted to order from here only to find out they’re closed. The hours are wack. But five stars for their amazing food!
