Once Upon A Bagel - Winnetka

Without a doubt, the best bagels I've ever had in Chicago! They offer an impressive variety of flavors, and it's one of the few places where I've come across Ei Bagels. Even though I'm moving out of state, I'll be sure to bring back large batches when I visit so I can enjoy these amazing bagels! Here’s a great tip: if you can’t finish all the bagels in 2-3 days, slice and freeze them when you get them, then just toast to defrost. They taste incredible and will last longer that way!

How is it possible that anyone could give a bad review of this bagel shop? It’s undoubtedly the best deli in the area and a fantastic neighborhood spot. Their Reuben sandwiches are to die for (sure, the calories might contribute to that sentiment, but still). If that's not to your taste, there's always a Panera on Skokie Boulevard for those with more basic preferences. The staff here work incredibly hard, so it's truly unbelievable that anyone could say anything negative about this place.

Their tacos are fantastic, and they also offer jamaica and horchata. The burgers are huge, making it a great place to visit!

Good bagels and pretty fast service for only 2-3 people in the shop immediately and wait outside for the order. Even if the seating area is closed, there is a large park with picnic tables directly opposite. Definitely enjoyed our lunch here, but I would probably presume to order the next time it seemed really simple and well organized for pickup orders.

I took a nice walk with my dog and just picked up some bagels to take home. The ladies behind the counter were all nice, bagels tasted fresh and kept well for a few days (last one molded on the 6th day, which indicates little to no preservatives). They satisfied my bagel craving! I’ll come back to try other menu items when I don’t have my dog waiting for me!
