We managed to book a private room for our group to have lunch, following my wife’s investiture ceremony in the castle. The proprietor was kind enough to open the pub especially on a Tuesday. We pre-ordered our food and ended up being a group of...fourteen. The pub is traditional with a good choice of ales and what turned out to be excellent pub food. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a fantastic afternoon, staying on downstairs until everyone peeled off. Thank you for helping to make that day a special one for us all.

Considering right opposite Windsor Castle, prices are so reasonable compared to other places. Staff friendly. Proper old fashioned pub if you’ve visited York it’s a similar feel. Loved the atmosphere in here. Have been before will definitely come back.

I cannot praise this place enough and the women who made the night perfect. I hired the upstairs room to have drinks and food, over looking the castle. It was arranged very last minute but they pulled out all the stops! Banners and balloons at...the ready, I did a pre order of drinks which were in the room. The chef (whose name I didn't get apologies) offered us her speaker so we could play music from our phones. It was honestly perfect and every one had a great evening. Nothing was every a bother and everyone was so accommodating! Thank you so much

I enjoyed a drink here whilst visiting the Castle. It was pleasant enough to be able to sit outside and enjoy what was going on and inside the pub looked decent as well

We were very hungry after touring the Windsor Castle and needed to get lunch in a hurry for of us. The service was good but very small amount of staff despite being very busy. I have to make allowances for COVID so can't complain...about that! The food however wasn't great. It was acceptable when really hungry but quite pricey for what it was. I think there are probably much better options close by as there are a lot of restaurants in the area.
