Service was wonderful -- warm and welcoming. Fish main course very competently done; vegetable/side disappointing.

We were in search of a moose burger, and found one here. It was excellent! The scallop appetizers was ok, very tiny salad scallops, not the big ones you'd expect as an appetizer. The cod was just ok, thick batter, but good fish inside. We'd have appreciated being informed of the cost of the burger add-ons, as we thought we were just letting her know what we'd like from a list of free options. Also, the gravy was not brought out, but we were charged for it. Overall, I'd say this is a decent restaurant, and could be even better if more attention were given to details.

I was very impressed with the cold plates. Great quality and taste. Very generous portions. There were extra cold plates left over but were quickly grabbed up by many who attended to bring home with them at my brother's request. Everyone enjoyed the plates. Would definitely recommend jackladder to supply food for any celebration. Great job!

Conveniently located, great place for a quick bite when en route to beautiful National Parks in NL. Friendly staff, good service, good food, reasonably priced!

We stayed in the bear den, a beautiful cabin, which seems to be newly built! Great size for a family of four/five. Has a master bedroom and bunk beds! The bottom bunk is a double and can comfortably sleep two in the one bed. The Kitchen is great, has oven, stove top, microwave, toaster, BBQ, coffee machine and kettle! The kitchen tables is a little outdated and awkward chairs to sit in but is functional. The couch looks nice, black leather but isn't the comfiest when laying across. The pillows in the mater bedroom are way to hard we had to switch them out for the ones on the kids bunks to sleep comfortably! It comes stocked with plates, knives, spoons, forks, pots and pans to cook in. Some coffee, sugar packs, salt and pepper! But fridge is empty, if you need ketchup or any condiments you have to bring your own sadly. I wish they kept even the little personal packs to save buying/wasting a full brand new bottle! Also there was no cutting board. The bathroom was nice, great pressure from the shower head. Stocked with four towels, two fave clothes and two hand towels. Hair dryer and extra toilet paper under the sink. The only other thing I would add is a full length mirror women/girls really look for these when getting ready to go out! Otherwise so nice! And will return/recommend others to visit! Pictures added are taken after 2 sleeps here so the mess is what we created, it was super clean and tidy when we entered. There is a picture of a list of things that are required when staying at the cabin that I feel people should know prior to booking!
