Cornbread slider is my favorite entree at the restaurant, I’m not a fan of Pimento cheese or fried green tomatoes but it blends so well on the corn bread. The tacos were great as well with the fried grits, love love love! Must visit.Food: 5/5
Rumcow is exactly the kind of farm fresh eating experience I crave. The ambiance reminds me of one of my family's long-time favorites, Basics. The grilled chicken salad, with strawberry vinaigrette, goat cheese, and shaved almonds is perfectly understated. Simple goodness. The space is airy, with lots of glass, rustic pine, painted brick gives Rumcow a modern antique feel.My family has vacationed in Wilmimgton for nearly two decades. We're 100% coming back to Rumcow.
Lucked into this excellent casual restaurant with a creative eclectic menu: not huge, but plenty of tasty options. Our food was prepared perfectly, and our server Kiki couldn't have been better. Props from a restaurant professional.
Where to start with this experience....We were sat immediately which was great considering the restaurant was extremely busy. However it took 15 mins for anyone to even bring us water. I have worked in the service industry my entire life so I completely understand things get busy and hectic. When our waitress did finally make it to us, she poured two tiny cups of water and didn't offer to leave pitcher even though every table had one.The food was just okay. Good, but nothing to write home about. The cucumber margarita was pretty good, however my martini was one of the absolute worst I've ever had. Not to mention, they nickel and dime you for every part of that drink $8 for the liquor, $4 for the fact it was a martini, and another $1 for extra olive juice because I asked for a dirty Marti. Also, throughout being there, I had to ask for water 3 times before anyone brought us anymore after our first glass.I highly doubt I'll ever be back or offer it as a recommendation.
My partner and I wanted to place an order for takeout. I tried calling twice and it rang through to voicemail both times. We really wanted burgers and liked the options we saw on the menu so we decided to stop in, place our order, wait for it, and take it. We waited at the bar for about 30 minutes (they did tell us that the kitchen was backed up due to having a larger party). When we got home with the food, we were pretty disappointed. We had both requested our burgers be medium well but the burger was undercooked in the middle to the point where I didn’t finish it. Our fries were rock hard. Giving two stars for the toffee rum cake. That was great.
