Kalahari A Taste of Africa - Willetton

Came here for a quick coffee and cake catch up in the afternoon. Not the easiest place to find, but don't let the outside fool you, it was quite quaint and welcoming on the inside. We ordered a Rooibos cappucino and melt tart. The cap was delicious with a touch of honey glaze. The tart was also satisfying whilst not being overly sweet. Would certainly recommend the cappucino, and since it's African, why not Rooibos!

Wow the food is awesome here. been here twice now. I had the steak and salad (you pick the steak from the fridge and they cook it up for you) Try the Monkey gland sauce - lol it's not made of monkeys but a great dipping sauce . Fries are CRISPY on the outside and soft on the inside. Salad is lovely with a nice dressing. We had these with milkshakes *trust me the regular size is heapsMy sons loved the vetkoek - be sure to try themNice and clean place with the most tempting groceries to try out. Their biltong is the best! Going to be a regular haunt for us

Came here today with a bunch of friends and it was packed! Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered the traditional vetkoek with the beer batter chips and it was delicious. The beer batter chips were nice and crispy and the vetkoek was full of flavour. A little salty with the sauce but I don't it mind. The meal was very filling and would definitely suggest you tying it. My friends ordered the ice chocolate, mocha and lemon meringue and it looked amazing. I got to try the ice chocolate and it tasted pretty average but the serving was pretty big. My friend also suggests trying the lamb curry as he says it is really good. Overall I would definately recommend giving this place a visit and trying the traditional vetkoek, an absolute must try!

Friendly staff, lively place. The coffee (flat white) was decent but I was hoping for better. Still the best option for coffee in this neck of the woods.

Hard to find but boy... is it worthwhile. Cafe set inside a gourmet mini deli of sorts that also includes liquor sales (dine-in or take-away)! Have been a few times now. The coffee is excellent!! And the food is delicious. The bunny chow is a must try!! Delicious lamb curry in half (apparently it's a third!) loaf of bread. I've never had anything like it before but i loved it!! Yum yum yum. Easy parking out the front.
