Wilkes Barre Lodge - Wilkes-Barre

While it's an older motel, it's a fantastic place to stay if you find yourself in a bind. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.

It's not too bad for a budget motel. You get what you pay for, and it's definitely better than sleeping outside. Just be sure not to leave any valuables in your room if you go out—I learned that the hard way.

Let's just say this place has an interesting crowd. Watch for crime, drugs and fighting in the parking lot. But otherwise, the most inexpensive place in town. No one will really bother you though. And if I need a place on a budget, that's where to go. Was $225 a week last I was there.

Very dingy and I've heard there's bed bugs there..I didn't see anything while I stayed there for 2 nites..it's close to shopping and eating establishments and not far from interstate and town also..

We were absolutely tired from driving straight from Maine. There was absolutely no place in the area because there were lots of people in the area for different conferences.
