フィードバックを提供するI usually drive through Wickenburg on my way to Nevada, but our family decided to stop and explore the town for the first time. We had a fantastic experience at Onery! A special shoutout to the owners, Dan and Jo, for their kindness and assistance during our visit. The BBQ here is honestly some of the best I've ever tasted, and no, they didn't pay me to say that! We will definitely return. I highly recommend that both Arizona locals and travelers passing through stop by for a meal. It's absolutely worth it!
Another fantastic family-run restaurant in Wickenburg! Kudos to the chef! The meat is perfectly smoked and not overly seasoned. While the prices for the plates may be on the higher side, two people can easily share one dish. We mentioned that we were sharing, and they graciously split the plate for us. The sides were delightful—both the mac and cheese and potato salad were excellent. We also tried the jalapeño cornbread, which was incredibly tasty. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, reminiscent of visiting a grandparent's home. It's a wonderful place, and I highly recommend checking it out!
We always stop in on our way to Laughlin. The bbq is amazing. The meat is always moist never dry. The cornbread melts in your mouth. Jo is always greeting us with a smile. Great customer service. I feel like I have been going there for years it has that warm hometown feel. This time was special. My husband and I were celebrating or 19th wedding anniversary. Jo came out to greet me and wish us a Happy Anniversary. The personal touch was awesome. Thank you.We will see you again soon.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delightful, and the staff is incredibly kind and friendly! I tried the peach ale habanero sausages, and they were fantastic! They have a nice balance of sweetness with a touch of spice. My husband ordered the cholla bowl, and the cornbread that comes with it is amazing! Overall, I would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5.
Wonderful and so delicious Melt in Your Mouth Bar B Q! We love Wickenburg, the museum, the quaint shops and yes, the restaurants. But we weren 't able to go to the Onery Hog until a couple of weeks ago. Wow. First off, the wonderful wife and husband team who run the Onery Hog. My Mother is a not a big eater, even more so she 's not into red meat . But I do like Brisket and she decided she 'd have it too. Jo recommended that we could share a plate, that the portions would be large enough. So we went with the Brisket Plate. Now I am a Bar B Q aficianado (sic) . I 've been to many BBQ joints in California and Arizona. If it is Bar B Q I 'll go for it. The Onery Hog Brisket is arguably in the top 10 and possibly top 5 of the Brisket dinners I 've have ever eaten. It was smoked just right, really didn 't need too much sauce, and melt in your mouth. But was even more of a surprise was that my Mother thoroughly enjoyed it as well, she concurred about the melt in your mouth and the excellent taste of the meat and said she 'd definitely have it again. We had Bar B Q and Cole Slaw. Also highly recommended. Both Jo and her husband who is the chef came by several times to check up on us, and chat a spell. Really nice, down to earth folks and the Onery Hog itself in homey you do feel like you are at home there. To top things off, Jo brought us both a slice of Texas Brownie cake. YUM. Since we do live in the Phoenix area and as aforementioned, we love Wickenburg, I know the Onery Hog will be a favorite spot for us in the near future and can 't wait till we 're back.
