La Monarca Bakery - Whittier

Service and food 5/5. Had the breakfast biscuit with eggs and sausage. Two sauces, red and green and both equally tasty and biscuit was flaky and went well with the eggs and sausage.

Coming to La Monarca Bakery Cafe in Whittier is always a special treat. My husband and I like coming here to enjoy the Oatchata Latte, Cafe De Olla, delicious desserts, and the relaxing environment. La Monarca has something for everyone, a good selection of pastries and good breakfast sandwiches too. A variety of hot and cold drinks, a taste of Mexico. If you’re looking for a good cup of coffee and delicious desserts, this is the place for you!

Fresh cafe de olla on demand! Great blend here not too sweet, just right. My wife I had the ready made burritos. She had the bean cheese I had green chili beef; totally rocker taste. Specially on cold rainy morning! They've got all sorts of cakes pans. Fresh bake items. Very comforting just a very ambiance to hang out grab a bite. The service is impeccable customer service superb! We love this place. See you there!

Saturdays are for letting someone else make your coffee. The Cafe del Carmen is a dulce de leche latte. It's rich creamy but still subtle in sweetness and caramel flavor. Their tres leches cake is not as tart as I would expect but still a good balance of moist and spongey. Their conchas are always a treat and I look forward to their denseness when I'm in the mood for a colorful treat
