China Sea - Whittier

Delicious Alaskan Chinese food! Friendly service and a beautiful view of the harbor. The lo mein noodles are cooked to perfection and the deep fried halibut is light and flakey.Their menu has a large selection of different foods, not just Chinese. If you're in Whittier and hungry this is a great place to stop. A little on the spendy side, but you get quite a bit of food for you money.

Ordered 3 plates of food and got charged double for eating off each others plates. Paid fine dining price for 3 plates. Save your money go to Swiftwater Cafe instead. Very sleazy behavior from this restaurant. Been going here ever since I was a kid and I lost respect for the restaurant. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious. But these people lost 2 customers that night for life. I get it Covid is devastating to the restaurant industry, but it is to everybody not just these guys.The fact that the owner had the nerve to reply and lie that they have never seen such charge. Well the evidence is there. I have the receipt. And i promise you we didn't order 6 plates for 2 people. Also I’m pretty sure the Whittier sales tax is not 100%.

I would happily drive here every day from Anchorage if I didn’t have to work. A perfect 10/10! The $13 tunnel fee is absolutely worth it!
