Caribbean Thyme - White Plains

The employees at this restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. As a first-time visitor, I decided to try a variety of dishes. The Mac and cheese, cabbage, and plantains were delicious! I also sampled the jerk chicken, which was expertly prepared. I will definitely choose the larger portion size on my next visit. Despite being a bit expensive, I believe the quality of the food justifies the cost.

I haven't visited White Plains in a while and was excited to see a new restaurant. I decided to try it for lunch. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the lunch option was a serve-yourself buffet where you pay by the pound. Everything seemed clean and appetizing, but considering the ongoing COVID situation, I don't think it's appropriate for customers to touch the handles of serving spoons. It would be better if a gloved employee served the food instead. Additionally, the sneeze guard on the buffet table was too high and didn't extend far enough. As someone who is 6 feet tall, the guard was at the perfect height for me, but someone who is 5'8 or shorter would have to look at the food from underneath the guard. Despite these concerns, I found the food to be delicious and I hope the restaurant stays open long enough for me to try it again once the pandemic is over.

The food was delicious. However, there was a dish that seemed undercooked. I will give them another try in the future.

They charge me almost $20.00 for a box curry goat and rice. too expensive for my taste, they weight the food and I think is $19.00 plus for 1lb.

I put an order with them on doorstep and not only did my order arrive incompletely (they did not contact me to let me know even though I paid for it) but the personal is incredibly rude. I called the restaurant and the woman hanging on me when I told her what happened. so are people running a business? never again a cent for this place.
