The Black Dog - Weymouth and Portland

Apparently the oldest pub in weymouth is also a pretty looking pub. probably very cozy in winter sitting next to the bubble open log fires, it was a warm day when we visited, there was no fire burning, I break. good drinks a practical situation right in the middle of weymouth just a short walk to the beach at the sea

I always have a good night when I come here. Saturday night was not taken, we heard a madness tribut band. the staff was polite and efficient and there was a wonderful atmosphere of fun and laugh. we will be worth a visit

Good local pub, very friendly staff. good selection of beer, local ale a must have good eating to reasonable trips a must visit when in weymouth

Had the best afternoon with my man and dog before the fire in this beautiful, cozy little jewel of a pub relax. great service from friendly staff, delicious home cooked eating and brilliant selection of drinks (the Gin bar was my special favorite) we will certainly visit again.

This is a lovely little pub in a pedestrian area stopped for a drink and a snack for lunch. Ordered a Fish finger sandwich and comes with fries and a salad. Must say it was lovely just what we needed, the staff were first class. I gave this pub 5 stars, but if your not a dog lover do not use this place. It was busy and I counted 8 dogs all In the lower part of the pub, I'm a dog lover but it was starting to get to me with the smell of dog when I was eating my sandwich. It was a bit like battersea dogs home. Never seen so many dogs in a pub.
