フィードバックを提供するVery nice , clean , smart building , tried the Turbot for main , with saute potatoes veg , as i told the chef , probably the blandest meal i had all weekend , what a let down .
As guests at the hotel, we wanted to try the on site restaurant. It 's in the wine cellar of the hotel on the lower ground floor. There were little alcoves around the room. I wish they would make it more wine cellar decor as it did have a social club feeling about it. The food we were served was divine! I don 't think I 've ever eaten a well done steak that had been cooked so beautifully. It wasn 't dry at all and there was very little fat. It was just perfect. We chose not to have desert as none of the options took our fancy. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant as well and again, the chef did not disappoint! The Full English was so flavourful and just perfect! Massive shootout to all the staff here! They were all amazing!
Unfortunately the Rex restaurant is only open at the moment to residents of the Hotel due to Covid, but as a resident I cannot say enough about the staff and food. They were brilliant, always pleasant and attentive, nothing to much trouble and the food was superb. Will definitely eat there again
We found the food a very good standard, the decor is very typical of an old sea side hotel but the food was worth the money.
My wife ordered a garlic and chilli king prawn starter that was disappointing as the sauce overpowered the dish and it was served on a fruit bread-like base. The main courses were an improvement, with my sea bass being tasty but the vegetables were bland and lacking creativity.
