The Gyro Shop - WEXFORD

We had just left ahn wexford and I was starved for my test so long after fasting. we saw this place from the far away and decided to get rid of it. I've never been happier to try a new restaurant! Not only were the gyros the best I ever had, but the French pommes were for dying! if I could give this great place a hundred stars!

After driving past many times, I finally tried this place and now I regret not doing so sooner! The service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The kabobs were excellent and the portions were large. Everything was top notch, from the meat to the pita to the fries. I especially liked how they wrapped the fries for takeout, as they stayed warm and crispy. When I mentioned it was my first time there, the guy assured me, "You'll be back," and he was right. I will definitely return.

The gyros at this restaurant are the best I have ever had. We even travel from Florida just to come here and buy them.

I visited The Gyro Shop on Saturday after a strong craving for gyros struck me on Friday afternoon. It was easy to locate and order takeout over the phone. I ordered the traditional gyro platter and eagerly indulged in it while seated in my car in the parking lot. The meat was tender and juicy, not too greasy. The flavor could have been bolder, but it was satisfactory overall. The pita bread was excellent, fluffy, fresh, and delicious. The only disappointment was the tzatziki sauce, which was thin and lacked flavor. The fries were decent, typical freezer french fries cooked well. The salad included in the platter had fresh, crispy greens and juicy, flavorful tomatoes, some of the best produce I've had in a while. Surprisingly good! I believe a gyro salad would be a great choice here. The portion size was generous, and I ended up sharing the fries and saving the salad for later. Overall, it was a satisfying lunch that hit the spot. I would consider trying it again, but might explore other local options first for comparison.

Good Greek food with friendly staff. Recommendations would be to cut chicken for salad for easier consumption. Fries, cheddar balls and tater tots were good. Slight dings: Pita was store bought and restaurant was overall dirtier probably due to staffing issues).$45 with tip) for 3 meals.
