West Kebab - Westport

I really hope this review does not get the lady taking the orders into any trouble. Myself and my wife went out in Westport, had a great night in the local pubs. After the pubs we decided to get something to eat, the kebab shop was the closest. We went in and seen a sign letting us know the card machine was out of order. We had no cash or cards (we use our phones to pay). I asked the lady was it really out of order and she confirmed it was. She realized we had no cash. Out of goodness, she asked what we wanted and told us to stand in the waiting area. A few mins later, she gave us our order! i have NEVER seen or experienced anything like this in my life, both myself and my wife were in shock. The foods was amazing, but that's not important.....this lady gave us a memory we will never forget. I really hope the owner appreciates this lady, and as i said at the outset i hope this review does not get her into trouble. We go to Westport 3 4 times each year.....we will 100% be back and will have a little gift for this lady when we return.

Ordered a Chicken burger and a mix kebab.... I must say that I was very disappointed as the food was cold.... I know a Kebab isn't the hottest of meals....but I would at least expect it to be warm..... Chicken burger (was very bland and no real flavour) again it wasn't exactly piping hot as you would expect. Will definitely NOT be returning as food went in the bin so a waste of €24 .... Used to be really good... obviously has gone way down hill

Asked for lamb and chips with chilli and garlic sauce but they failed to put any on, I expected better as the day before they had lived up to expectations.

Went there last year with the cousin from Rossie last year. drove 400 km from Rosslare was well worth it, got a sexy burger should have got a kebab I’m a kebab guy now 10/10 better food than what’s at the White House or Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant

I'm in Westport a good bit and often go here for food,it's decent food and I've always enjoyed it I really do hate to leave a negative TripAdvisor but when went to pay and they said it was cash only. I run a small business myself and would be laughed at if I told my customers we were cash only (in normal times never mind covid! There is absolutely no excuse or valid reason to not offer card payment. I was directed to an atm across the road which i don't bank with so was charged for that too. Meal came to €26.90,if paying by card I would have rounded it up to €30.As it was I took the change.We won't be going back having previously eaten there many times and enjoyed it.
