Skyline Chili - Westerville

I dined indoors at this Skyline Chili just past 1PM on a weekday. My server was patient and helpful, while I (as an out-of-state visitor, previously unfamiliar with Cincinnati-style chili) studied the menu. Both the coney and the 5-way were delicious. It is helpful that bowls of chili are offered in different sizes. The portion sizes of my order seemed reasonably generous in proportion to the cost. The dining room seems very family-friendly. Nomming on chili and cheese is potentially messy for someone of any age, and the restaurant staff do an excellent job of keeping the place clean.

I was warmly greeted when I walked in the door, I felt very welcomed. They now give you little packets of hot sauce and I like lots and lots of hot sauce. It was wisely suggested that I buy a bottle of hot sauce that they have for $3, a great idea. Cincinnati chili is what it is and you either love it or you do not. If you have never tried it, you should give it a go. I fancy the five-way chili on noodles with cheese with lots of hot sauce. Sure, I really enjoyed my food, but I was astounded by the staff today. All things considered, they were pretty busy, but everyone was very careful, safe, and social distanced as they should be right now. Everyone on staff made sure everything was taken care of. Josh, who I assume was a manager of sorts, really set the tone. The tone that Josh set, really worked. I will be back.

Eli waited on me and he was awesome! When I walked in I was immediately greeted! It was a lunchtime rush and the place was packed- they asked if I wanted to sit at a table and cleaned a booth quickly for me. My whole customer service experience was next level, from the caring respectful approach to the way the staff interacted with each other and the other customers- you would have expected to be in a more sophisticated restaurant. Kudos to the management for creating a superior working environment where they elevate their employees and empower them to provide excellent customer service that easily mimics a fine dining experience. The 4way with onion was excellent and the hot sauce amazing. I did remove some of my cheese as the high pile was more than I wanted, and was able to bring it home for my puppy. The crackers are so good with a smidge of hot sauce on them (a recommended treat). The desert was a red velvet cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory and it was just like being there!!! Just as good as the ones in their place (minus the whipped cream). I would recommend this place to others for the excellent service and fun Ohio food experience. I will return for the customer service experience alone. I would give Eli 10 out of 5 stars!! He is an asset to the team.
