Anna's Place - Westchester

Really enjoyed our meal here and the waiters were very nice.

I came in to eat today with my husband and two children. We were planning to eat at the booth where we ate last week. The food was great so we wanted to come back, we were planning to eat and have a couple drinks, again like we did last week. As we walkedin we were greeted by a nice woman, but she immediately told us we can?t sit down with anyone under 21. I asked why and therewasn?t a true answer, which I?m assuming is because there isn?t an answer that will hold up to anything. There are booths inthis place that are for people to eat, there are games and a separate bar in most places and kids are never an issue. The girlwho turned us away seemed genuinely horrified, and really didn?t have answers or want to tell us the news. She was nice andoffered a 10% discount on our food if we carried out. We declined. We are leaving a 1 star review for feeling as though we werenot good enough to eat here, and embarrassingly turned away at the door. Pretty disappointing.

The service was good. I brought a date in for drinks and food, but the music was so loud that I could barely hear at our table. The Cabernet I ordered was surprisingly sweet when I expected it to be more semi-dry, which made me question what type of wine I was actually served. However, it did the job, so I can't complain too much.

I visited Anna's with my parents, who are both over 60. I'm in my 40s. The bartender, following the manager's instructions, ended up carding all of us. Honestly, that felt like a lack of common sense and made the entire experience quite unwelcoming. My parents were simply looking to play some slots.

This is a fantastic spot for food, slots, and drinks! If you're planning to order food, I highly recommend starting with a straightforward appetizer like mozzarella sticks or chicken tenders—you can't go wrong with those! The restaurant is really improving under new management. It seems they've replaced the previous staff with a team that genuinely does their job. If you're considering giving this place a try, don't hesitate. From what I've seen, things are definitely getting better. And if you encounter the manager, Theresa, you can expect excellent customer service. Blessings!
