Cozymel's Mexican Grill Westbury

We were seated in an area that had almost no lighting despite the fact that we made a reservation and they knew we were there for dinner. We were also seated in an area near two parties which were too loud for our taste given the physical limitations of the area in which we were seated. Our server never smiled and did not seem like she wanted to be there. She spoke very little and we had to repeat any requests we made. The food was BLAND pretty much across the board with the exception of a salad dressing (Mango) that my wife had. My steak was overcooked and chewy. It also contained lots of sinue making it difficult to eat. I had been to this restaurant 10 years ago and the food was good but now they seem to be making up for lost time.

Not amazing food but good salads and tacos and service was very good

I've been coming to this restaurant for 14 years, and I plan to keep dining here for another 14 years!

When I mentioned that I had a reservation through OpenTable, they greeted us by saying they no longer accept OpenTable reservations. Nevertheless, they were able to seat us without any issues. The service was decent, and the food was satisfactory. Our group of eight had the gratuity included in the bill, but it wasn’t charged on the credit card, so be sure to keep an eye on that.

The guacamole and margarita were decent, but the fish tacos and the deluxe fajitas for two were exceptional!
