Wapiti Pizzeria - West Yellowstone

We were in a bit of a rush and decided to try this place, despite our concerns about the lack of Google reviews. The pizza was excellent—fresh, unique, and made with high-quality ingredients, and the crust was generous. The salad was also delightful, featuring crispy vegetables dressed with a fantastic house dressing. The quality of the food rivals that of a good sit-down pizza restaurant. Don’t judge a book by its cover; this spot is run by two self-proclaimed snowboarders operating a small, unassuming stand next to a zip-line park. You might expect the food to be similar to what you’d find in an arcade, but it’s far better. At least one of them clearly knows their way around a gourmet kitchen.

Best pizza I've had in years! It was around 6:30 PM and all the restaurants were packed. We found Wapiti online, gave them a call, and there was no wait. Don’t let the appearance of the place fool you—this was truly the best pizza I’ve had in a long time, from New York to California. The dough was expertly crafted, the sauce was delicious—not too sweet and perfectly balanced with garlic—and it was wood-fired. Seriously, I've dined at many places in West Yellowstone, and Wapiti really stands out, not just locally but among the best pizzas I've had anywhere in the country. Also, make sure to try the salad with their house-made blue cheese—it's fantastic! Thank you, Wapiti, for serving up some authentic New York-style pizza after such a long time! Don't miss this place!
