I was in the area and decided to go to this Giant Eagle instead of the usual one I go to on Mcknight rd. This store is much smaller and has less of a selection as well. My biggest complaint is that the Giant Eagle I always go to has the scanners you carry around and us to scan your merchandise so when you get to cashier you just scan the scanner and you are done. The scanner is a huge savings in time. I found that this store was lacking in selection and did not have a few of the items i wanted. I would not go back unless I had too.
Someone needs to tell the cashiers it's not good customer service to raise their eyebrows and smirk at a customer's preference not to use only their reusable bag and no plastic bags. Smirking at a customer's polite request as if they're stupid is rude and unnecessary.
Used to go pretty frequently, since I lived right by there. But then I started driving then ten extra minutes to Aldis. The cashiers at this GE were almost always rude/acted like they hated being there SO much? Food is over priced. Pharmacists were really nice.
I just purchased two cans of crescent rolls at 5:45 pm for a recipe. Opened first can, it was fine. Opened the second can and it looked weird with a few odd colored spots. I look more closely at the bottom where the expiration date is and it expired APRIL 6, 2019!!! More than two months ago. What the heck?? The kicker is that my husband went back to return it and get a new one and the woman at the service desk gave him a hard time!! He had the receipt and it was clearly not looking quite right. I now now why I don’t shop here very often. No one knows what is going on in this store. What are you selling to people? Old, nasty, expired items that are probably making your customers sick. It’s a shame given the ridiculously high prices you charge. No wonder I shop at Aldi’s.
