The Codfather Chip Shop

We ordered several portions of fish and chips from this shop. The sizes are huge and we couldn’t eat them all as there was so much food but the fish was lovely and freshly cooked and the chips really tasty too. It’s obviously got a good reputation as do many people had preordered and there’s was a massive queue. It’s near a lovely little park too where we enjoyed sitting eating. Would definitely recommend.

Wanted a quick takeaway read the reviews and ordered Scampi and chips. The food was cooked well with ample proportions but the oil gave us a awful aftertaste. What caused it I suspect that perhaps the oil needed changing. Shame but only points awarded

The only place to ensure safe and authentic gluten-free fish and chips. the owner is always so friendly and welcoming, a true cook! the fish tastes as fresh as the coastal chips, and the chips and teig are authentic as always. I have celiac with high sensitivity, most fish and chips that are "gluten free", still make me sick, often due to the lack of personal knowledge in controlling contamination. codfather always deliver on hygiene and taste!

Really good food. freshly cooked and very good portions. the cod was fantastic. large pot with curry sauce. the meal could be made easy two decent meal times. the halloumi was really good. Crispy not soggy. really friendly lady served. eat a lot around the united kingdom due to work, but if here again sick popping in the codfather again

For chips 15ish times and it is really good every time, does not play any role, whether they have fish, sausages, sampi, chicken nugges, it always tasty and freshly cooked. the lady who owns it is always friendly and also
