フィードバックを提供するWe use this Nero as it's closest to our home and love it. One major exception and ongoing problem is the older male waiter with dark hair who never smiles and looks permanently miserable. You will spot him a mile away. He also questions people when they use a stamped card or collecting stamps which makes people feel very uncomfortable indeed. He must be terrible to work with. He obviously doesn't enjoy his job and likes to make everyone around him feel miserable too. We use Nero's all around Oxfordshire due to travel with work and this place is ruined ONLY because of one single person who has worked there it feels for years! Get a job you like and customers will be smiling again!
Arrived. 2 staff on duty. Place virtually empty. 8 Tables had dirty crockery on. We moved crockery to sit at window table. Got Coffee (Good) Left 25 minutes later and. in that time. only two other single customers came in. When we left 7 of the 8 tables still had the same dirty crockery. The table that had been cleared was not cleaned. So were the staff busy? No-they were talking and doing b r all. Food on the floor in entrance way. Much of furniture had crumbs and stains. I dont know whose business this is (franchise or corporate) but someone needs to get a grip. Tha above is not a one off its just general poor waitering. Why do we go there? Coffee always good. Its just a shame the place good be 80% better if the staff just did the job they are paid to do. No pride.
Ideally situated for a cuppa, but they really need to replace their furniture, lovely friendly staff young and quick but they spend all their time chatting to each other or friends that come in. I witnessed one girl serving her friends and continue to talk about a planned night out whilst leaving someone in the Q unserved until another member of staff came out. The place is cramped at the back so not ideal for disabled or pushchairs. Coffee average.
We used to love coming to this dog friendly coffee shop but less so these days. Whilst the staff clear the tables, they never wipe them down, let alone use anything antibacterial. The place needs a good deep clean very grubby, disappointing and we have now find a much more welcoming, cleaner local cafe that is far nicer to visit. Such a shame!
I understand that restaurants are facing challenges in finding staff, which may be why Nero in Witney is closing at 4:00 PM every day. However, I find it difficult to understand why only one person is serving customers while the other staff member ignores the queue and focuses solely on cleaning. In my opinion, customer service should always be a priority. The long wait and constant reminders that the restaurant is closing at 4:00 PM are not very welcoming to customers.
