The Four Marys - West Lothian

Very good traditional food, and super service! This is a very good choicein Linlithgow. We have been here before, and we will come back :

Although the food we ended up eating was very good the experience itself was a bit odd. We were shown to a table at the back of the pub and asked for a credit card that they would have on file during our meal. I have never been asked to do that anywhere else in all the years I have been travelling. Understanding that this wasn’t the fault of the server we complied. Then we waited and waited to have our order taken and then to receive our food. Kind of felt like we were being held captive.

What a wonderful place I can't speak more highly of it. Fantastic service and a great vibe in the place. I can't wait to return

Really nice restaurant/pub. Locals go there. We had the best fish and chips in Scotland, the Cullen Skink like a Smoked Haddock chowder) was great and would recommend the steak and ale pie was great. Professional and attentive staff. Very welcoming. MAKE RESERVATIONS.

Went to the Four Mary’s for drinks after a walk on a Tuesday afternoon with my wife and 3 month old baby. On arrival at the bar I was asked to wait while the barman disappeared. When he eventually returned, he advised he would only serve us if we both purchased a full meal. I stated we only wanted drinks outside in the garden but was told the manager would only allow us to be served if we purchased food. Avoid at all costs if you value family friendly places.
