Incredibly rude staff. I have never had such a poor experience with a waiter ever. Belittling. Mean. Short. Food is ok at best.

Food was just not that good. Spring rolls were lacking flavor, pad thai was mediocre, pad see ew was ok but not great. There were no sauces or limes available. Don't bother, bad menu photos indicate what is in store for you if you eat here. Service: Dine in Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

After eating at Basil Thai for like 20 years since they first opened I never managed to actually make it to Thai Essence until after Basil Thai closed. So now they are my go-to for Thai food. The food I had was just like the food at Basil Thai, just as good. I ate lunch and some day I will come back and try some stuff off their dinner menu. Glad they started staying open on Saturdays because that is generally the only time I have to eat there. Which is why I always ate at Basil Thai come to think of it. Anyway, it's interesting also that since I moved out of WL this location is actually more convenient for me than Basil Thai would be now so that is a plus. Hope they stay in business for a long time.

The staff was extremely rude! I inquired about lunch specials, and the man responded bluntly, saying, “we are not Chinese.” I left as quickly as I could! Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
