La Teclena - West Hills

This place is fantastic! I highly recommend it. I usually order their revueltas and bean and cheese pupusas, and they're absolutely amazing! I also love the fried plantains and a refreshing horchata to round out my meal – it really hits the spot. Since I live just across the street, it’s my go-to spot in the mornings! The staff is also very friendly.

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise. We typically have to travel to LA for good Salvadoran cuisine, but we decided to give this place a chance. I must say, the food is genuinely excellent. Unlike other Salvadoran restaurants, they don't blast loud music, which is a refreshing change. Most importantly, the food is fantastic. I will definitely be returning!

I ordered fried plantains, and when I saw the cook pull out a bag of frozen ones, I immediately thought, "No way!" That was my first disappointment. We also ordered pupusas, and can you believe they were just reheated? Not fresh at all! That was strike two! To make matters worse, they forgot one of our orders and took forever to serve us, despite the fact that we were the only customers there. It felt like they weren't even trying to make our food fresh. This experience was really disappointing—my third strike! I'm done! Never again!

This WAS our favorite pupusa spot, for years! It's not the same anymore. Where did the ladies go? The quality is not the same, so bummed!

AWFUL FOOD!! THE GIRLS ARE RUDE, THERE IS NO CLEANLINESS. THEY USE FOOD REHEATED FROM DAYS AGO. EXPENSIVE FOOD!!HORRIBLE FOOD!! THE WAITRESS ARE ROUGH, THERE IS NO CLEANLINESS IN THE PREMISES. THEY GAVE ME FOOD OVERHEATED FROM DAYS AGO. VERY EXPENSIVE FOOD!!
