Things appear to have changed for the worse since owner Anthony was tragically killed last year. The once wonderful Italian combo is sadly a shadow of its former self. Previously the meat to cheese ratio was on point, there were great spicy peppers and even the tomatoes were marinaded. The last one I had, there was too much cheese vs meat, a lot of the peppers had stalks on still, uninspiring salad, and it just wasn't good overall. I hope that everything else is not in decline too. Sorry to say it, but you can't rely on reputation for ever, and there are now better delis in the area.

Real Italian food!! Real hero sandwich!! It’s like going to heaven.

My wife, twins, and I visited the Italian Food Center for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant was recommended to us by my wife's uncle. The shop offers a variety of Italian products, from olive oil to cookies and frozen pasta. We decided to try their prepared food, which was displayed in different cases. We opted for an eggplant stack, eggplant Stromboli, prosciutto balls, and a potato croquette to share. While the meal wasn't the healthiest due to the fried components, we still enjoyed it. Once we got home, we warmed everything in the oven and dug in. The eggplant stacks were nicely fried and topped with a tasty tomato sauce. The prosciutto balls, though slightly overcooked, had a delicious cheesy filling with bits of prosciutto. The potato croquette was golden brown and had a creamy potato and ham filling. Despite being filling, we couldn't finish everything. The highlight was the Stromboli, which was stuffed with fried eggplant and gooey cheese. Every bite was a delight. Overall, we were satisfied with the food and would consider returning in the future to try their frozen pasta.

Wether you want anything from a hero to just picking up some cold cuts , chicken cutlets or need some catering , this place is hands down the best place to get it at !!! R.IP Anthony !!!
