Park Oak - West Hartford

What a delicious meal! Fresh fettuccini pasta in garlic butter and waffles with bourbon syrup. Out of sight. Sautéed Brussel sprouts appetizer was enough for 2 and delish. Another yum for the clam chowder. Barely had enough room for the tiramisu which was another home run. The staff was very friendly (Aubrey was our waitress)and the atmosphere was cozy. Chef David gave us a special treat of pan seared scallops on puréed butternut squash......oh my.....another yum. Definitely worth another visit soon.

Tonight I had the opportunity to try Park Oak for the first time. I know several people who had been prior, and they all spoke very highly of the establishment. I have to say, it lived up to every ounce of hype I heard from those who had been before me. The atmosphere has a pleasant vibe to it and the place was buzzing with energy. The service was excellent and the wait-staff knew the menu well and offered great suggestions. The food, on the other hand, was nothing short of spectacular. We started off by sharing the brisket sliders. The flavor and taste of them were amazing. Arguably the best I've had. And for dinner I tried the 1/2 chicken with Tabasco honey and Cole slaw. The presentation was so perfect that I hesitated to eat it. But boy, am I glad I dug into it. It was cooked perfectly and the taste and texture left nothing to be desired. Truly outstanding. And the part that I was most impressed by is that chef David Borselle was constantly milling around and interacting with his guests. He is a very genuine individual who clearly has a passion for cooking and for providing an enjoyable culinary experience for all who frequent his restaurant. Park Oak is truly great spot. I highly recommend that you try it out for yourself. I am sure that you will agree with my assessment. Thank you Chef David. I will be back and look forward to another great meal.

We sat at the bar, chatted with the locals, enjoyed brisket tacos, popcorn chicken with the white sauce(a must have),burger, chicken with waffles and their creamy Mac and cheese with added lobster. Yes we had it all and it was great... highly recommend!

Love this place! Great food unique dishes and everything is quality...excellent staff, and you can actually park at this place unlike the Center! Recommend the pimento cheese dip, brisket tacos, and chicken and waffles are out of this world!

Wonderful, Wonderful food!!! So nice to have a restaurant where the chefs are passionate about the food and the service!!! Steve our waiter was awesome! What a great guy, recommending dishes and giving us the low down on what is top choice!! Great Great place!! Wishing Chef David all the best!!!
