The pizza was great! Had a Sicilian pizza slice and it was delicious. The only thing I wouldn't get again was the rice balls. For my taste, they were way too big and was mostly breading. Overall a great place to go!

I love that you can go in and get a slice of pizza that is not just the usual pepperoni or sausage. They have a variety of unique toppings and flavors. The pizza is ready quickly and is affordable.

My wife is originally from New York and was feeling disappointed about the pizza options in Des Moines. That is, until we discovered this place! Their New York-style pizza is fantastic!

Taste of New York remains the top pizza spot in the Des Moines area. Their offerings, from pizza to heroes, rolls, and ravioli, consistently exceed expectations. The variety of pizzas is impressive—everything from classic cheese and margherita to vodka sauce and chicken parmesan, all leaving you questioning why you ever chose Domino's. The hero sandwiches are incredibly addictive; I was satisfied after half of one, but I couldn't resist finishing the other half because they are just that delicious. The rolls are perfect for sharing among 2-3 people, being both filling and bursting with flavor. One of the best things about Taste of New York is that their food never makes me feel sluggish or weighed down by oil or heavy fats. I feel satisfied without the greasy feeling you often get from other places. Please visit and support this fantastic restaurant!

This restaurant is a great spot for enthusiasts of New York-style pizza, known for its thin crust and foldable slices. They offer a variety of pizzas with different toppings for both takeout and dining in, as well as pizza by the slice for those looking for a quick meal. There’s ample seating for groups, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that there were fewer slice options available. We went around 7:30 on a summer Friday night, and although there were quite a few customers, only five kinds of slices were being offered. This is considerably fewer than what we experienced at the Waukee location just a month earlier, and some of the selections didn’t appear to be fresh.
